2026 Parent-Toddler Fall Session • 8:30 am-10:30 am Tuesday

Parent-Infant

Expecting Parents to 18 months

This class provides a peaceful atmosphere to explore the beautiful, natural stages of early childhood unfolding.

Our Parent-Infant classes offer families a warm, age-appropriate, media-free environment to connect, learn, and grow together. Guided by an experienced Waldorf Early Childhood teacher, classes follow a gentle rhythm of simple songs, rhymes, movement, exploration, and quiet observation. Parents and caregivers gain practical guidance for creating a healthy, nurturing home environment while deepening their understanding of their child’s development and connecting with other families. Learn to cultivate an environment that lets your little one simply be.

Parent-Toddler

18 months to 3.5 years old

(children must be 18 months by the first day of class and must not be over the age of 3 1⁄2 at the start of class)

Serving as a gentle bridge between home and preschool, this class offers toddlers a warm introduction to a group setting.

Our Parent-Toddler classes allow families with young children to come together in an age-appropriate, media-free environment to connect with and inspire one another. The gentle, rhythmic structure of the class includes circle time, simple songs, bread baking, exploration, and outdoor play. Parents and caregivers can participate in various activities under the guidance of an experienced Waldorf Early Childhood teacher. Parents will receive literature and guidance on healthy, natural parenting. Classes include a light snack and opportunities for informal conversation with other parents.

Additional Details:

Appropriate clothing and attire for indoors and outdoors:

Parent-Toddler classes will be held outdoors and indoors. Please dress for all weather. Indoor time will vary based on the temperature and weather on the morning of class. The time spent indoors and outdoors will be up to the class teacher's discretion. The teacher will hold the class indoors in inclement weather with thunderstorms or extreme temperatures. Each class is for one caregiver in attendance.

Enrollment:

Admission is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please fill out the registration form to reserve your space in the program; full payment is due with registration. Classes are not interchangeable. Each class is for one parent in attendance. Siblings older than 18 months may not attend the Parent-Infant class. Siblings under 12 months may attend the Parent-Toddler class for free. Please see the discount policy for information on discounts for multiple children.

Make-up Policy:

In the event of a class cancellation due to teacher absence or inclement weather, make-up classes will be held on the indicated Make-Up Day date. Make-ups due to student absence, illness, and travel are not offered.

Discount Policy:

Siblings receive a 50% discount when registering for an age-appropriate Parent-Child class. Please contact admin@waldorfstl.org or 314-962-2129 to apply the sibling discount.

Refund Policy:

Refunds will be given only up to seven (7) days after the start of each session (except in the event of a cancellation). A $50 cancellation fee will be taken out of the tuition refund for Parent-Child classes. The Waldorf School of St. Louis reserves the right to cancel a Parent-Child class due to insufficient registration. Registrants of any session cancelled by the school will receive a refund.

Phone Policy:

Parent-Child classes are a time for caregivers and children to be fully present with one another and with the rhythms and activities of the class. To support this experience, phones and other personal electronic devices may not be used during class, including for taking photographs or videos.

We ask that phones be silenced and put away before class begins and remain put away for the duration of the class, both indoors and outdoors. If you need to make or receive an urgent call or message, please step away from the class before using your phone.
