Our camp season has officially wrapped up, but the memories of imagination, curiosity, and outdoor discovery will last all year long. At the Waldorf School of St. Louis, we believe children thrive in an unhurried environment. This summer, our campers developed creative thinking, problem-solving, and social skills through a perfect balance of child-led play and teacher-guided magic.
What We Explored This Summer
Our days were anchored by a comforting daily rhythm. Campers explored our beautiful outdoor climbing structures, sandy digging areas, and water play spaces. Indoors, they were welcomed into warm rooms filled with natural wooden toys to enjoy moments of rest and quiet connection.
Every week offered hands-on, sensory experiences that invited children to learn through meaningful work:
🌲 Enchanted Forest: Magical woodland adventures, imaginative play, and creative storytelling.
☀️ Sandcastles, Mud Pies, and Fireflies: Meadow play, water exploration, and tactile mud kitchens.
🦋 The Wonderful World of Bugs: Discovering fascinating insects through art, stories, and songs.
Nurturing the Whole Child, All Year Round
While camp is over, our warm, thoughtfully prepared indoor spaces and natural rhythms continue into the school year.
